Outdoors, the Gecko Way
Summer evenings in Hazyview are the best. Sit outside and enjoy the coolness of the bush creeping up to you, the last bird call before bed, and the evening sounds of insects and night animals. The Boma, also known as a kraal, has a long history dating back to the pre-colonial Africa when the native groups such as the isiZulu and isiXhosa used wooden fences to enclose livestock and to fortify family homesteads, thus protecting them from wild animals. We have created this traditional feeling within our lodge to honour the traditions of our African people. The candle lit Boma, night stars and bonfire is intimate and the ideal place to dine and enjoy a nightcap.
Guest Lounge & Bar
Relax in our small lounge and library situated near the reception area, a wonderful place to take time out, read a book and relax. Enjoy a sundowner at the bar or relax at our soothing water feature.
