Welcome to Otjohotozu Guestfarm

Experience one of the most precious landscapes of Namibia. Otjohotozu Guestfarm offers the ideal place for relaxation or to enjoy unforgettable adventures.

The Guest Farm Otjohotozu is located on the northern edge of the Erongo Mountains right on the river Omaruru. The tranquil town of Omaruru, the artist town of Namibia, is 20 km away. Otjohotozu lies within one of the largest private nature parks in Namibia. Here you can find about 200,000 hectares without fences and thus offers many animals a natural habitat. On game drives, but also on foot, you can get to know the area better.

The Guest Farm Otjohotozu, place of silence, offers an extraordinary recreational value. Here you can “let your mind wander” and spend a few days in peace. There are plenty of excursions: San People Living Museum, discovery trip into the Erongo Mountains to many rock paintings and sounding stones, visiting wineries in Omaruru, or simply contemplative walks on the farm. Matching: culinary delights for dinner together. If you have booked one of the panorama rooms, you can look at the mountains on your own terrace and enjoy the sunset in peace.

The spectacular Landscape of the Erongo region invites you for some special excursions. Game-Drives, Sundowner-Drives or walks. We offer everything for individual types.

Game Drive
The Erongo Mountains resulted from volcanic activity million years ago. Here it is extremely dry and you will find pure bush savannah. Already before the colonization by people the area was a paradise for the animal kingdom, meanwhile it has now become a paradise for wildlife, in which next to almost all antelope species, mountain zebra and giraffe and the rare black rhino live. Not to mention the predators, leopard and cheetah. There is so much to see and admire when you drive through this exciting landscape in open jeeps. The game drive can be rounded off with a sundowner.
Walks
On foot, with or without a guide you can experience this splendid landscape. Particularly attractive is a hike in the river bed of the Omaruru, which only flows in the rainy season. You can scramble over eroded rocks and admire dug holes that were dug by animals in which you may still find water long after the rainy season. Also if you’re fit you might want to dare and try to ascent on our highest mountain, the Kranzberg.
Rock-Paintings
The Erongo is also known for its rock paintings and engravings. You might as well book a tour in which we show them to you.
Sundowner-Drives
A sunset in Namibia is memorable. The traditional “sundowner” is a must see in Erongo. From one of the many rocks one looks down into to nature while enjoying a refreshing drink, for these special moments.
