Honeymoon Suite
Like the other tented chalets, the honeymoon chalet is a unique combination of canvas and solid building materials. The bathroom is made of brick while the bedroom area is designed of both canvas, hardwood and brick. Although the windows are tent screen with roll up canvas panels, the chalet is entered through a pair of French doors, with glass window panes. Designed with the honeymooning couple in mind, the honeymoon chalet has several special differences, including a four poster king bed, a unique outdoor shower on the front veranndah, and an adjacent private suntanning deck. The chalet’s location on the escarpment is especially private and most picturesque.With amenities that offer the option of pleasant seclusion, clients may choose to dine and relax throughout their stay within the beautiful and inspiring confines of this honeymoon chalet.

Secluded Chalets
Eight secluded chalets situated on the edge of the Oloololo Escarpment which overlook the vast plains of the Mara below. These secluded chalets are a unique combination of canvas and solid building materials. The bathroom is made of brick while the bedroom area consists of canvas panels with zippered windows and roll up panels. The floors are solid hardwood and the tent is entered through a pair of French doors, with glass window panes. Each of these secluded chalets is fully furnished with handcrafted cedar furniture, including two queen beds per tent. Cushioned sofa sets and personal writing desks offer relaxing clients the comforts of home. Luxury bathrobes are provided, and all towels, linens, pillows, and duvets in the tented chalets are specially selected for their comfort and quality. A lock cedar chest is provided in each room, where all valuables can be stored for safe keeping. A wide front verandah provides a private and relaxing place to sit and overlook Masai Mara’s vast plains below, where roaming giraffe, elephant, gazelles, impalas and wildebeest can be spotted. Room service brings early morning coffee and tea for the client to enjoy as the sun breaks above the distant hills, flooding the plains with light. Evening sundowners are another special way to enjoy the verandah, watching the shadows creep over the Mara as the sun sets and the stars begin to appear.

Safari Tents
For those seeking the tented safari experience, these fully canvas tents provide a bedroom within nature that is both comfortable and private, yet almost like sleeping outdoors. With just a wall of canvas between the client and the African night, traditional safari tents provide a unique experience for clients. Falling asleep to the music of chirping crickets and the distant cries of the tree hyraxes and awakening in the night to the sounds of grazing zebra and barking impala is part of the African safari experience long remembered and appreciated. Six of the tents have two double beds, while the remaining two tents have a king size bed each, all with comfortable linens and duvets. Brick bathrooms provide the same ensuite amenities of the larger tented chalets, with hot showers and flush toilets. Electric lighting and plug outlets are also found in each tent.

Bandas
The economy bandas consist of 16 round canvas tents under grass shelters, reminiscent of the Maasai bomas commonly seen in the area. Each tent has 2 comfortable twin beds with quality bedding. Common bathroom and shower facilities are conveniently located nearby for easy access. Hot showers are available in the morning and later in the evening, before and after the day’s safari activities. Delicious meals are served buffet style in the spacious Simba Dining Lodge, where plenty of cold sodas and bottled drinking water, as well as tea, coffee and other hot beverages, are available for guests’ convenience. An informal, relaxed atmosphere captures the feel of Africa and after the sun goes down, campfires are lit for folks to relax around at the end of the day’s activities.
